Drive to
your favorite fishing spot.

Lower the
SnoBear to the ice.
Drill holes
with the electric drill and you are ready to fish.
And the best
part is you did not even go outside !!!!!!!!!!!!

Lots of rod
and cup holders. Convenient overhead storage compartments.
Fold up bunks.

Overhead escape hatch for safety. External propane tank
with fuel gauge

4 cylinder EFI gasoline engine for easy
starting and great fuel economy.
Why SnoBear?
There are many reasons such as Ease of Use,
Transportability, Mobility, Comfort, and Safety.
Ease
of Use
I wanted a product that was as essentially the
equivalent of my summer fishing boat. I can now load my
SnoBear at the beginning of the winter with all my gear
and not have to find this – reload that – just hook on and
go.
Transportability
SnoBear pulls behind my truck very much like
my boat. When I get close to my fishing spot,
I usually stop and start the furnace and engine to give
the unit a chance to warm up. When I get to where I want
to unload, I simply hop in, back it off the tilt bed
trailer and head to my fishing spot. I leave the trailer
in the tilt down position so when I return (usually the
next morning) I can drive it right on and go.
Mobility
Mobility is the key to all forms of fishing –
it is important in summer fishing and due to the lower
activity level of fish in the winter,
possibly even more important in Ice Fishing. Finding
actively feeding fish is the key. If there are no active
fish where you initially set up, chances are, they will
not find you. SnoBear is as fast to move as any boat. All
that is required to move is to reel in the lines, pull out
the hole sleeves, install the hole covers, start the
engine, push the raise switch, and go. There is no
repacking gear other than putting the fishing rod in its
holder and picking up the Vexilar Transducer. When we get
to the next spot, by the time I get the SnoBear re-lowered
to the Ice, the key shut off, and the steering column
tilted fully out of the way, the guy at the back of the
machine already has his hole augured out and is ready to
fish (see notes on Dewalt ice auger below). I have moved
as many as 40 times in a day with the SnoBear in search of
Pan Fish, most days we will move 20 times on average. I
have also moved to 3 different lakes in one day Many
times we will pan fish during the day and move inshore to
set up for Walleye at night.
Unlimited Mobility on Ice is the key.
